One year on workmanship is probably the average. I offer two. If your fitter is not offering the kind of guarantee that you'd like, simply ask him to write it into his quotation. In accepting his quotation, a contract is struck! I would suggest that the calibre of the fitter and the feeling of competence that you get from them is more important than the words on paper.
