Can I paint over bathroom paint with Matt Emulsion?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

I thought I would finish off a tin of bathroom paint by using it in my utility room. However it looks way to shiny! Can I paint straight over it with Matt emulsion?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Give it a light rub down all over. Then apply two coats of a good emulsion. Should be fine.

No is a common issue I come across. No! You should use an eggshell paint to prevent damp

I wouldn't recommend it. Bathroom Paint/Eggshell will better help to prevent damp.
