Grab adhesives for shower doors

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.19 PM

Hi Hi I’m about to have shower panels and shower door replaced after bodged job by the same fitter who did the original work. He’s fitting the panels with a grab adhesive called Grabfix, which I imagine is ok. However, he’s also proposing to seal the door profiles with this stuff and I’m dubious about this as I’m wondering how I would remove the door profiles from the panels if needed in future without wrecking them. Would a good quality silicone not be better? Thank you for any advice

Definitely no grab adhesive. You should use CT1 which is in a Adhesive and a sealant. I’ve never heard of anyone using grab adhesive in a 35 years I’ve been in the trade you need to jog this fella on and don’t give any more money whoever you hiding from report him and go to trading standards this person does not know what they are doing
