Moving washing machine to under stairs cupboard

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.19 PM

We're moving into a flat with a small kitchen. The washing machine is currently under the drainage board of the sink, but we would like to replace this with a dishwasher instead (which should be simple since power / plumbing both are available). As for the washing machine, we'd like to relocate this to the cupboard under the stairs, which is just the other side of an interior wall to the kitchen sink. There is an existing power socket in the cupboard already, but obviously no plumbing! Is this doable? Will we need to knock a hole in the wall to connect up with the plumbing in the kitchen?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It depends purely on the layout of where your waste is in the property. It may be easier to bring a new waste in from outside depending on what services are there. Again the same situation for the water feed, it can be from the bathroom, kitchen, boiler or just on pipework running throughout the property as long as its a mains feed. I hope this is helpful Coz CZ Construction surrey limited

Yes you will need to drill through wall to run cold mains water and run the waste pipe to sink waste

Yes , you can... You said that it's on the other side of the wall...just cut a hole where the kitchen is and bring the pipes there, under the sink... washing machine has a pump, so don't worry about drain.
