New Build

Highway very close to House

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.19 PM

I'm purchasing a new build from plan and today was first time I have viewed the property close up. We have already exchanged contracts, so will be required to proceed with the purchase. My main concern, the corner of my property is only inches away from the highway and there is a danger that the house could be struck by any service vehicle or vehicles passing the property which is a blind spot before joining the main road. The highway is a no through road which is servicing 12 other properties, however the builders have named it as a "DRIVEWAY" on the plans. My question is how close can a property be built next to a Driveway / Highway?
