I have an issue with the house alarm being triggered by certain light switches and/or sockets being switched on. House alarm engineer say it's a house circuit problem

I have to agree with Skye Security Systems, I would ask an engineer to take a look.

Best thing is to get an Electrical Installation Condition Report carried out and see what defects that thows up.

There is a very small chance that the alarm has been wired into a switched live by mistake which would create a mains fails problem on the system.
Would need to know all symptoms of fault in full to be able to advise you correctly.

If this is a new system, or you have had some rewiring done, then I would get the alarm engineer to look at fitting 12V Spike Suppressor to remove induced ac from nearby circuits, they are not expensive and relatively easy to fit.
If that does not resolve the issue then as Electrical Safety Services has suggested get a condition report.
