Copy of reciept 18 months later

I did a job 18months ago and have just been called by the client saying they have lost the one i gave them and now they want a copy of the reciept so they can claim off their insurance for the work , am i obliged to give them one?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I presume you keep records of all your work so in reality whats the big issue with either emailing them a copy or printing one of and sending it. While you are not obliged to as you have given then one already common courtesy is the order of the day after all you did the job and took there money it's a few minutes of your time to keep your customer happy

Are you not supposed to keep records of work for up to six years? I don’t see what the problem is, just email it off to them.
