Insulation

What type of insulation to use?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.37 PM

So basically I live in a 3 bed semi-detached house and I want to insulate the floor. It's a suspended timber floor, what type of insulation do I use? I was doing research online and some say to use mineral wool insulation and some say to use rigid foam board insulation. I don't know which one to use, any advice? And also what should the thickness of the insulation be?

We would us spray insulation. It would make the job a lot easier to carry out. The void could be completely filled and it would deliver the best thermal rating against anything else. It would also completely remove any risk of drafts. It would never need replacing and would last hot as long as the building is standing.

I would use reactively instafit polyurethane insulation board , very easy to cut, can be fitted tight between joists
