Can I install a wooden shed directly on my garden slab

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.58 PM

Hi, I have bought a Timber shed 6x4 from Screwfix (https://www.screwfix.com/p/forest-6-x-4-nominal-pent-overlap-timber-shed/135jr). As my garden has an area with slab, can I just assemble my shed onto the slab without any base as the shed already has a floor with wooden poles underneath ? Many thanks

Yep. As long as its level and substantial (100mm thick). The shed floor should be on bearers anyway and you may need a few chocks if the base isn't perfectly level. All the best Dan

Ye as long as the base under the slabs is substantial and the slabs are laid on a mortar bed

You can put the shed on the patio if the patio is level. If the patio is not level you need to make a level frame on the patio which the shed will sit on. Reasons for this Is that if the shed does not sit level all the way round it will start to slant in the same direction as the level of the patio. Please contact me if you have any more questions
