Leaking valve from filling loop

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.57 PM

Hi, the filling loop is leaking from the valve as I had to turn it this morning to increase pressure. Now its leaking - a constant drip. The only way I have been able to stop the dripping is to turn off the valve that is at the other end of the filling loop. I have a boiler coming out in the morning but would this work for now?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Renew the filling loop non return valve.

It’s fine, just get a tub under it if you need to top it up then mention it to your plumber when you have your boiler serviced. Both the valves are supposed to be turned off when you are not filling the system up anyway.
