Insulated plasterboard on solid exterior wall

I plan to hack off the original lime plaster (which had Gypsum multi finish on top about twenty years ago) back to bare brick and fit insulated plasterboards mechanically fixed to treated battens. Wall is really concaved and out of level so I figured this is the best way. Outside is rendered. Can I please get the input of professionals if this is a practical solution for solid exterior walls of a Victorian property?

There is no need to hack of the wall providing it is nit infected with damp problems the most econmical and quick soloution would be to dryline the wall with dabs of drylinning compound and macanicaly plug and fix with mushroom fixing for secure the permantly

The best way would be too build a stud wall in front of wall you want to Board that way your board will be level because if you fix timber to an Unlevel wall then your board aren’t going to be level.

It may be best to leave the walls as they are, if you remove the lime plaster off the walls it could loosen the bricks, If you leave the walls as they are and fix 2 x 2 wood batons to the walls and fix insulated plaster boards to them and plaster Or remove all the plaster back to bricks, You will need to put a coat of sand and cement mix over the walls and when dry dot and dub plaster boards to it then plaster finish
