Bath overflow leaking

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.57 PM

We noticed a leak from our bath overflow and saw that the overflow section itself was loose. We removed it, gave it all a wipe and put all of washers etc back and refixed it but there is still dripping coming from the section behind the bath itself where the overflow body is. Would anyone know how to resolve this?

Bath overflow pipes are notorious for have small splits in them. You can obtain them from plumbers merchants, may also be advisable to buy a new washer for the overflow that you previously cleaned if there is no split in the overflow pipe

Take it apart as you did before make sure it is dry and then add a small amounts of silicone sealant to the front and back of all parts then re make back on bath alow this to cure then test. Alot of baths are slight miss shaped so it's hard to get a tight dry seal hence the silicone Thank you Marc MTP Plumbing and Heating
