No hot water coming out of any taps help

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.39 PM

No hot water I have a boiler that comes with a cylinder tank in airing cuboard, I’m not getting no hot water whatsoever the heating is working, but unless I turn on the switch in the airing cuboard It will then get hot? I’m sure I read the switch in the airing cupboard next to the tank is the immersion switch which is used in emegencies but unless it is on I am not getting any hot water and scared of running up a high bill.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

if heating works this sounds like a motorised valve problem, get a qualified plumber/heating engineer to look at it.

Yup as above sounds like a 2 or 3 port valve a fault, possibly the cylinder thermostat. Always best to get a qualified heating engineer to take a look, If you are using the immersion heater it will run up a bill. Best wishes Andy
