hi i am trying to lay real wood flooring from wickes

Hi If you have solid wood floor then it should be a tongue and groove system that just slots together as most real wood floors uses this system, not like laminates and engineered which can be click together. It should be a case of you using a tapping block to knock the board with the tongue into the board with the groove . If that doesnt work it means the boards haven't been milled correctly or stored correctly in the warehouse ( had a problem with high street wood products before doing the same ) . If they can't be knocked together I would take the product back and get a refund as if you are already have problems now it will probaly cause you problems once the floor is fitted with movement etc. if you post a link to the wood on here I can have a look see how it should be fitted is that would help as well Regards jason@jrfloors
