What paint to use on a mdf panelling?

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can shed light on good paint brands to use on an Edwardian paneling which is made of MDF?
Many thanks!

When painting MDF ensure you apply two to three coats of primer first. For the best results, lightly sand between coats of primer. When painting the decorative finish any brand will do but I would recommend Little Greene Paint and Paper. They have a partnership with National Trust so they understand Edwardian properties. They also provide a colour consultancy service.

Use a johnstones mdf primer. I recommend only using water based products after the mdf primer. So a mdf primer and then any water based product then for your finish coat.

I would recommend using Dulux MDF primer undercoat. Two coats of Dulux mdf primer and your be ready to finish off with whatever Topcoat you fancy. MDF is normally a 3 coat system 2x coats of MDF primer then 1x Topcoat. Hope this helps thanks Christian

Best primer for MDF is crown water based acrylic primer undercoat it dries in under an hour which will enable at least 2 coats per day, then you apply the finish .again I would suggest crown oil based satin finish which is an excellent product
