Which reciprocating saw for large bush stumps removal?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

I have some thick bush stumps I need to remove, and it had been recommended to me that I use a reciprocating saw to cut the roots. There are a number of models out there with differing power and I was wondering if someone could recommend a saw and type of blades? Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would not buy a saw , just a good axe or mat hook. Saws don’t work under ground. Jim

I would not recommend a saw as well, you'll be unable to take the stumps out with it. Better get a good shovel and an axe, dig around the stump and you'll be able to remove it with a bit of effort and patience

A reciprocating saw is more than adequate to take down some of the thicker branches personally I would use a good set of shears.

Hi I use a graft which is a long headed shovel made of metal and dig the whole root out
