How to best repair a little crack chip in gutter?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

On my front gutter downstairs, there’s a little crack chip. In rain, the water drips down here and on to the floor quite loud. Was wondering how to best repair a cracked gutter? Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Me personally would cut out a small section of gutter where the split is and put in what they call a union joiner or just replace that length of gutter from union to union obviously colour and shape to match. A joiner or a length of gutter is probably cheaper than a tin of gutter seal.

Can be repaired depends on the damage can have a section cut out and two unions joints depending on the gutter but my opinion would be a new guttering saves having too many joins

For what time and cost you might as well put a new gutter in

In this case you can try all sorts of different fixes but ideally it would be best just to replace it
