Can a mixer bathroom tap be fixed to standard double tap sink with the 2nd hole covered?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

I have the traditional 2 separate tap bathroom basin but would like to install a single mixer tap in one of the tap holes. I will cover the other with a tap hole stopper. Will the single hole be big enough for the mixer tap to fit through? I have a water tank in the loft. The water pressure is not great hence we have a pressure pump under the bath to assist. Please advise. Thank you in advance. Maria

A single monoblock tap won't fit in a standard 2 tap hole basin as they require a bigger hole unfortunately

Depends on the size of the new mixer tap. I have fitted a mixdr tap before in a single tap hole.
