Corners in both top floor bedrooms seep water

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

Hello, the corners in both top floor bedrooms seep water when it rains heavily every year in winter. We have had the gutters cleared and water is still seeping through. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix permanently? Thank you

Hi All I advise you to check well from the outside of the wall, (depending on what is built) that everything possible to penetrate the water through a gap or even the hole in. (In my situation was missed a piece of brick that penetrated from top to the bottom of the room) success.

As above, Inspect roof, check for any external stacks/piping ect, what is above the bedrooms, do any pipes run in ceiling that you know of? some times if you cannot inspect roof without a scaffold than its worth making a small hole in the ceiling to use a special camera, if nothing is seen sometimes it worth even opening a small piece of plasterboard (20x20cm) to check for way that the water may be entering. feel free to ask more questions if required..
