Dispute over leak in roof who to blame
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM
Thanks for your response not sure if work was signed off would have to ask him but I did do my research this is a reputable company with excellent reviews and a good guarantee surly they would be in trouble if they didn’t I’ve googled the other roofer and it seems he’s been done for breaching regulations before now so I’m not sure what to make of it although he did tell me work was signed off on his part
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I don’t really know what the problem is but if you have paid for a job to be done and your not happy with it, whether it’s been signed off or not, the roofer should correct the issue without any doubt that his workmanship has not lived up to his reputation.
If you’re opinion as a customer with a problem, maybe you should seek legal advice!!
Your only as good as your last job!!

you should have recieved paper work from the council building control telling you its up to current regs, this is important especially if you come to sell the house, it generally onlt takes a few days after complition to arrive.
sorry but possibly the only clear solution would be to get a totally independent report done on the condition of the roof although this may cost you initially it could save you in he long run as you will then be equiped with the nessicarry information to pursue the correct roofer,
