1 hot tap not firing burner

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

HI I have 1 hot tap which has stopped triggering the burner to heat the water. Has only just started in the last few days. Every other hot tap fires up the burner. Central heating is working fine. The problematic tap is a mixer tap in the en-suite upstairs. Boiler is an Ideal logic Combi 35. No error codes showing and no issues with pressure. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Good evening, if the tap is producing enough water as it should it may be a problem with the diverter valve within your boiler. If the flow isn't enough and your diverter valve is failing it may not trigger the boiler to fire Best wishes Uber Energy

shut the water, and change hot tap body, if is a mixer tap it is cheaper to change, the unit, but where the water come out on the tap there is a round filter, this some time block, , do this before, change , the body or tap.

If you’re hot water flow is ok, Then you will need a new flow turbine Not diverter valve. Part number 175661 If that hot water tap flow isn’t good (less than 6 litre come out) then The issue could be your tap or something blocking the flow to your hot tap. I hope this will help

Are you turning the tap on enough to trigger the domestic hot water flow sensor in boiler. If so I would check this out first as it could be a start of your problem first before any further investigation.
