Hello, when is the best weather to get repointing done? Is winter a no no and summer the best time? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

As long as the temperature isn’t below about 3 or 4 degrees you’re ok. Summer is best due to less chance of rain too.

Depending where you live in the uk has some bearing on this .also are you using sand and cement or lime mortar .but as a rule of thumb nice dry weather and at the very least 10 degrees c and not overly hot as dry to quickly is not helpful especially with lime mortar.the bottom line get your self a good tradesman to do the job not some bloke who has seen it done on youtube

As long as the temperature is 2c and rising its not a problem. There are also retarders to make the mortar(gobbo) go off quicker. And obviously if the forecast is for rain no tradesmen would even attempt to do the work.

Winter, frosty, rainy or even very sunny conditions are not good for this make sure they rake out enough mortar so new pointing stays firmly in place a dry day not to sunny is best.
