Order of works for new bedroom plus fitted wardrobe
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.39 PM
Hi there, Grateful for advice on order of works for bedroom. Need to rewire, replaster, sand and restore floor, redo skirting and architrave, paint and then measure for and fit fitted wardrobes. At some point within this we also need to widen an existing hole in the wall which allows access (via a ladder) to the loft. Is that the correct order? Should we bother replastering area where there will be new fitted wardrobes? Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Yes you have the correct order. Ideally the hole you wish to widen would be best to be done before re plastering as if there is any making good to be done it can be done all in one go (avoids further mess)
Personally I would have the area plastered where your fitted wardrobe will be, will give it a sound background to fix to.
Hope this helps
