Is it possible to plaster over existing bathroom tiles if green grit pva is applied the day before?

Looking to get me bathroom plastered. Have been advised that it’s possible to plaster over the existing tiles by rolling some green grit pva on the day before, and then skimming over the top. Would you recommend this type of practice?

Plastering over tiles is not recommended as the tiles although secured by the adhesive could cause cracking issue further down the line with the joints between the tiles.

Best off removing tiles and scraping adhesive off the wall to avoid movement and cracking. Then you can apply the blue grit or pva before skimming.
