Corner walls of house - condensation
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.39 PM
Hi i own a detached house (approx build 1940's) solid brick wall. during the winter months the internal walls - corners of the house get really cold and causes condensation. i wanted to know the best way to rectify this issue - would internal insulated plasterboards do the job? thank you

There is a few ways to do this. I would personally put cavity wall insulation in through the brickwork then treat the walls inside with a damp proofing cream then repaint but maybe you might want to try the damp proof cream and paint first.

Hi
Given the house is solid...
(no cavity)!
I generally use an insulation liner;
“Wallrock KV600” Thermal liner
pasted to cold walls.
This (along with good ventilation) helps to prevent condensation.
I hope this helps
