Which board to use on bio ethanol recessed fire

Hi all, I'm creating the usual modern recessed fire using a bio ethanol burner under a TV that is also recessed above a separate shelf. My question is what boards can I cover the fire recess in? I've read a lot about vermiculite boards but they're quite expensive and delivery is 30 quid! Can I use a cheaper board from a hardware store like cement board instead as temperatures only get up to about 500 degrees? Any help appreciated.

I would use an a 1 fire rated board such as grg board, also known as glasroc . 10mm minimum thickness . Also use wall board adhesive to stick it
