Priming wooden fence panels

I need to prime wooden fence panels, any tried and tested suggestions on the type of primer (brand/type) best to use?

Hi, a primer I use is called sika Wood preserver, it's clear, almost non odor, and really gets into the wood to prevent wood rot and decay, also drys very quick, you can get a 5ltr tub for around £22 , hope this helps

I would agree with the question on what to use on a garden fence which would do it a lot of preserving it

Zinsser exterior wood primer very good to use or you can also use zinsser exterior self priming wood and metal paint.
