We have moved our fence to our boundary but neighbours are causing issues!

Hi All, Advice needed! We have bought a detached property month ago and that property has extra landing next to our fence, in our deeds states that we need a permission from our developer to move the fence, we have done that and receive a legal permission from them. Neighbours are objecting as they are parking their cars next to our land and saying they wont be able to open their doors, bear in mind that is not an actual car park space. we are leaving enough space for them to still park and open their doors. please advice if we need anything else.

You have done the right thing and got permission from the council, and then by law you are allowed to erect your fence . It seems like you just need to come to an amicable agreement with your neighbours, or have hostile neighbours forever .

The deeds are the key but for some reason boundary disputes can be ugly and costly I would always try to find a compromise after all this is home and you always want to get along with neighbors also there are grey areas if they have been using the land for a certain amount of time but I’m no lawyer and without a compromise that’s who will win in the end
