how do i seal and build up a 5 cm Gap at end of bathtub behind taps
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.18 PM
I am trying to do a temporary seal/ patch up job, around our bath tub until I get a chance to redo the whole bathroom. Some of the tiles were loose in this gap and when I lifted them up, there was a soft wet putty-like substance under them that had black mould around it, so I lifted it, dug out the putty and sprayed with black mold killer and have been drying it out over the last 4 days. Now that its dry (can see the exposed wood that was under the tiles and putty stuff) how do I raise it back up to the level of the bath tub edge, and make a hard surface and then reseal the area (before putting tile back on) so that the water does not sit in a valley and create a permanent damp area again. Basically looking to build up the area to stop water sitting in it. Bit of a nightmare, I know, but again, looking for a temporary fix for the next year or so. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
