Paint looks like it’s crying in places
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.18 PM
Hi, have found that in patches on recently painted walls that there are patches where the paint looks like it’s crying. I mean it looks like the paint has run but only in some places and after about 2 weeks. I have washed them off and found these patches have come back after a week. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

Without a pic to see it’s hard. But it sound like the wall has maybe some kind of substance on it. You may need to sand back use the correct wipes/sugar soap and start again

By saying the paint is crying it isn’t soaking into the wall. Firstly this could be where the wall has been treated before with a sealer or stain block . When this happens the paint does not soak into the wall, it has to dry outwards . If to much paint is applied it will run ie looks like it is crying . I would advise to rub area down with sandpaper and try to coat up again. If problem persists I would like to see photos and more info ie heat in room, outside wall etc. Hope this helps you regards Michael
