What is that small moving particle in LED light bulbs (stick ones)?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.36 PM
I have a box of unused CFL light bulb sticks. I want to use one of them, but when I turn the stick upside down, I notice a small round black ball(like a mustard seed) moving round. What is that? That is the observation I had with all new pieces. Follow-up question: Are the bulbs ok for use then?

CFL’s are compact fluorescent lights which are a small version of fluorescent tubes. They are not LED lights which are light emitting diodes. The CFL’s contain argon gas and a small amount of mercury vapour inside which may have settled after a long time in storage.
But I might be wrong.
Hope this helps.
I don’t see why not, if there is no damage to the lamps. fit the lamp and turn it on if anything strange happens turn it off and get a new lamp.
