Ventilation for my oil fired boiler

Hi - I've been told I need ventilation in my kitchen for my oil fired boiler. I am removing an extractor fan - the hole measures 6inches/ 15cm in diameter. It's not a large kitchen - approx 12ft square. I was wondering if this is large enough? I'm getting an open vent to cover it. Many thanks.

The size of vent is calculated by the output of the boiler, you don’t need a vent if it’s a balanced flue boiler or a fan flued boiler, most modern boilers are one of them, if in doubt consult a oftec reg service engineer

vent size is calculated by the size of the boiler (kw 0r btu's). oil boilers ventilation is same as gas would be, only room sealed boiler's don't need ventilation for combustion purposes. all open flues require ventilation. it possibly only require's openable window or door direct to outside.
