FIXING PLYWOOD TO BREEZE BLOCKS?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.36 PM
Dear Sirs, I want to cover a 3×4 feet hole in a wall of Breeze Blocks with a piece of 3 Plywood, I don't want to chance nailing it, if I put a blob of cement or plaster in each of the 4 corners of the sheet of plywood and pressed it onto the breeze blocks would it stick, or can you think of an easier method, it doesn't have to be 100% solid or sturdy, it's in the loft and noone goes up there??? Vaughan Bond.

Use a tube of no nails or grip fill there is no need to use plaster.

You could pre drill 4 corners with a 6.5 mm drill bit and use concrete screws that’s what we use when battening off walls for batten etc onto breeze blocks .

If u are just wanting to cover the hole then what I would do is get some instastik foam fill the hole up with that then apply some around the ply and stick that over it with a few screws u can screw straight into breeze block just to secure it wise the foam goes of hope this helps kind regards
