No roof membrane - reduce dust in loft

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.36 PM

My roof has no membrane so the loft gets really dirty and dusty. Is there a way to reduce this without getting a roofer to add a membrane by removing the tiles? Can a membrane be added to the inside of the rafters?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A breathable roofing membrane such as tyvex or roofshield stapled to the underside of the rafters from eaves to ridge This will keep the dust down and the loft space ventilated.

The best solution is to use a membrane from Klober. This is a tape and seal system that will keep away dust and make the area air sealed but will also allow the roof to breath. If you have any pipe work like a stench pipe or chimney the tape will seal around the protrusions as well. The system is designed for this extract problem.
