Noisy inlet valve

Just had a new toilet installed and when cistern refills the valve shuts making a loud noise how do I fix this

If you can reduce the inlet preasure that should solve the issue, the high inlet preasure and sudden closure is having a 'hamner' effect

fit an equilibrium inlet valve to cistern , or a external water hammer arrester on pipe, clip pipe if it is unclipped.

Hi, the above comment is correct but also most filling valves have alternative pressure fittings to help reduce this effect, the plumber would fit the correct fitting as per the supplied installation Instructions. First action would be to contact your plumber and ask that he looks into you Concerns.
