Is white cement a single product or is it like the white paint which can be 20 of subtle colours?

1) Is white cement a single product or is it like the white paint which can be 20 of subtle colours? 2) Does roofer normally have the skills to repoint wall? (I don't want to disturb the neighbour too much, wall and roof repair both need the access to the neighbour's garden) Many thanks.

No white cement is what it says its used for older property's or where you kneed a lighter motar, and a roofer should be able to repoint any brick work he had take out or needing repair

Both answers you have are fine, lime mortar can be produced to create any colour required using the correct dye/additive
The roofers we use are more than capable of pointing small area of brickwork

Hi
"white cement" is exactly as it says, its white, the reason its white is because its made from China Clay with one of the biggest China Clay quarries is in Cornwall, this will give a true whiter colour if that's you need to match, also the use of lime as mentioned previously will lighten the mortar as used on older building, I have used in the past a mix of white cement/lime and sand in order to match.
Ans yes roofers tend to be able to manage pointing, ask for a test panel to be totally satisfied

The White cement itself is only part of what gives you the final colour. The type of building sand, strength of mix and whether you add anything else, like lime, to the mix all contributes to the final colour.
Roofers are generally pretty used to pointing, so they would be fine to repoint a bit of standard brickwork. If it's more of a specialist finish though, get someone with more experience, rough pointing can ruin a lovely wall.
