The cold tap on her bath and basin has lost pressure?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.36 PM

A customer has contacted us because the cold tap on her bath and basin has lost pressure, and now when she turns on the taps there is an initial serge of water which quickly reduces to a trickle. The customer has an indirect cold water system with a CWSC in the loft and the loft has been recently insulated using rolls of fibreglass lagging. The plumbing system is original and was installed 30 years ago and the property is situated in a hard water area. Describe three possible reasons why the customer is experiencing this problem and describe in detail how you would rectify each of the three possible problems. include what tools were used to rectify each of the three reasons.

lagging in pipes when taps are closed it drifts back up pipe, when taps open it is pulled to taps and slows down water, remove taps and flush through.
