dry verge system install- is there likely to be secondary jobs that pop up

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.36 PM

is their likely to be extra work needed if the mortar bed is craked in several places? What I mean is if i get someone to do the job should i be sceptical if they remove the cement and then start saying its a bigger job, more money, extra stuff needs doing? thanks

I’m confused to your question, a dry verge doesn’t have mortar beds it’s a plastic covering system on the verge of roof promoting air flow and stopping wind driven rain and bugs from getting in etc, and is borderline maintenance free. The only down side is after 5 years or so the sun will bleached the colour from them and they won’t look as nice but nothing will look as good on day, 5 years down the line. The original sand and cement should have been removed, and the dry verge put in place so there will be no secondly jobs to do Who ever you get to do the work they will inspect and price the work accordingly Regards Paul

If your changing from a wet verge (cement) at present and want to change to a dry verge system then it’s just the price to do that
