Water in the toilet bowl disappearing
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.56 PM
The past week or so the water in my toilet bowl keeps disappearing after some time and I've got no clue where it's going. It still flushes fine and fills up like usual after flushing, but when you come back to use the loo again after a while the water is really low again. I can't see any visible leaks or cracks or anything. Does anyone have any ideas please? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you have a partial blockage in drain or soil stack that is causing the seal to syphon out.

Yes, as per the previous replies, you have a clogged soil pipe with no intermediary vent. If you have clay underground sewer pipe then it is likely where the issue is originating. Inspect manholes outside to get a better idea of where the problem is.
