What insulation is better - reflective foil 4mm or polystyrene backed 22mm plasterboard?

I have a single breeze block wall for my garage. It will be rendered outside and inside will be slurried (tanked) and then battened. I have the option of adding polystyrene plasterboard (22mm) or reflective foil insulation barrier 4mm followed by 12.5mm plasterboard. Which would would be better? The final layer will be plastered. Thank you

Polystyrene plasterboard is better, you can add extra layer of rockwool/glasswool to prevent cold bridges .

Hi user_26dh - using rigid board insulation between the battens is a very common method used when insulating garages with plenty of household brands to pick from like Kingspan, Celotex etc.
