Leaking garage roof
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.38 PM
We have an out building that has a leaking roof. It is a reinforced concrete roof but leaks bad and we want to fix this and make better use of the building from the summer. Don't think there is any felt/ rubber on top and potentially water leaking via various points in the roof. What is our best options, is it matter repairing it somehow with felt / rubber on top, or replacement roof?

You could simply apply a mono layer roof covering to the original concrete slab. For example bitumen backed felt or PVC Membranes can all adhere straight to a concrete substrate. This would completey seal the whole garage roof although this wouldn't solve the holes in the the concrete problem. Additional work would be required here maybe even replacing the substrate to Marrine ply or using concrete again.
Good luck

To repair the leak in a concrete roof, the best method is asphalt, or to over lay the concrete with osb boards and apply GRP

The best options to fix this roof is to supply and 18mm OSB boards then laying a New GRP fibreglass flat roof system which comes with a 25 years guarantee hope this helps
