Indesit cooker keeps sparking

My indesit gas cooker keeps sparking when main is turned on. The sparking slowed down after i cleaned grease and bits around the spark button,knobs and inside burners. But it keeps coming back and sometimes stops when i pull or adjust the spark button a little bit. Bit worried if it is somemajor fault or just needs more cleaning or minor fix.

Get a hair dryer and take the knobs of and blow dry all of the taps under the knob it works but it will keep happening

There’s a short on the spark generator it will require a new one to rectify the fault

I recommend having the cooker fully serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer. That way, any faults can be repaired or parts replaced to bring your cooker back to optimum operation.
