Smoke alarms in bedroom of bungalow

Do I have to have a red flashing hard wired smoke alarm in bedroom with a loft hatch in a bungalow with another smoke alarm less than 15 feet away in the lounge?

Hard wired interlinked smoke detectors and heat detectors are always the best solution, hallways / landings / habitable rooms/ and integral garages,
Never compromise on safety.
