How to cap off a dishwasher waste pipe?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.38 PM

Hello, Having disconnected a dishwasher I am left with an open connection on the sink trap Apart from replacing that bit of pipe, I am trying to work out how to cap it off to stop water leaking when the tap is run. I bought this https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-t23u-multifit-blanking-plug-white-40mm/96079 however the thread is on the wrong side for it to connect. Is there a converter I can buy to get this to connect to the existing pipe? I'm not even sure of the correct terms to search for. Thanks in advance

Once removing the hose from the WM2 nozzle you can turn the nozzle to point upwards and there’s normally a plug that fits in the nozzle if not cap it with a disc with a washer or a coin if not possible fill the nozzle with mastic

You can blank it off with one of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274452427817
