Condensation on the inside of my windows

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.17 PM

I have noticed a build up of condensation on the inside of my windows and now in some rooms mold in the corners of the ceiling near the windows, these are in the bedrooms. are the 2 issues related and can these be solved easily or is it a case of replacing all my windows? Thank you for any help So I have been into the loft and can't see any obvious signs of leaks, everything is dry and no damp so I'm now wondering if this is the condensation causing mold in the corners?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Condensation can be caused by many factors, one being poor ventilation, cold non heated room, if someone is in the room constantly with no ventilation this can also cause condensation on the windows and mould especially with no ventilation. Old windows with no trickle vents or poor double glazing units. Roof leaks, are also a factor for mould on ceilings and walls especially bedrooms.. An inspection would be best to really clarify the severity...Hope this helps.
