Rattling & drilling like noise from the double glazed windows
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.17 PM
Hi, We have stared hearing weird rattling and drilling like noise from the window when it’s really windy. We have quite old aluminium double glazed window in the bedroom. We have recently moved in and believe the windows are about 20 years old. Does anyone know what it could be? Is it something you have heard of before? Thanks

Hi
As your windows are aluminium framed it may well be worn frames and the wind getting behind the seals will cause them to vibrate and rattle this is most probably the cause of the noises you are hearing...hope this helps..
