Condensate pipe

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.17 PM

My condensate pipe coming out of the house from the boiler is dripping when the boiler is on which I think is normal but I have noticed where is pooling seems like an oil residue in it?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The condense should not be dripping anywhere. It should run into your drains or a suitable soakaway The condensate is acidic, with a pH between 3 and 4. It will corrode metal and stain building materials. You may well be witnessing water dripping from your central heating pressure release valve.
