How do I damp proof where quarry tiles have been so that I can lay parquet flooring?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.35 PM

We want to lay parquet flooring throughout ground floor of our home. Where the kitchen was is quarry tiles and we want to make sure it we don't have damp issues in the future.

Remmers do a 2 part damp proof membrane system that forms a resin like solid layer over a solid floor. This can be latexed over and then floored over however you decide.

You can get a liquid DPM from a company called Safeguard Europe, its easy to apply, no mixing and forms a waterproof barrier. Just Google Safeguard Europe.
