My boiler is working but my radiators are not heating up?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.35 PM

To cut a long story short, due to a stupid mistake last night our bathroom sink overflowed and briefly flooded the bathroom and soaked down into the kitchen below. We have started to ventilate and dehumidify the flooded areas, and have been attempting to use the heating to speed up the drying process. Strangely, the radiators are not working. The thermostat seems fine, and the boiler makes noise when you turn the heating on like it normally would, but the radiators just aren't getting hot. Could this be related to the brief flood we had or does it sound like an unrelated problem?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

1) complete unrelated issue and just a co-incidence. 2) Do you have a wall mounted Stat which may have water ingressed. 3) Has water ingressed or damaged any electrics to heating pump etc.

Best to have a professional check the issue , rather than risk to personal safety. A small price to pay for peace of mind.
