What is the best way to prevent street rubbish blowing into my metal-fenced front garden?

I live in a terraced house and my front garden consists of metal fences which separate me from next door neighbours. I spend a lot of time picking up litter that blows into the garden. I was wondering what is the recommend way to stop this from happening? I've noticed one of my neighbours further up the road has some sort of green material attached to his side of the fence including the front portion. It doesn't look great though and there is still a gap at the bottom of the fence anyway, so things still manage to get in. I guess I'd need something similar that reaches the ground. What are my options and how much would it cost to get this done? Kind regards

My suggestion for this would be chicken wire. Used in rabbit hutches etc. The wire is thin and wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. 6m roll is about £20

Put a small hedge and/or plants around the garden - it will look good and at the same time create a wind break, some privacy, prevent the rubbish along with capturing pollution. It will add value to your property and road. There are thousands of plants for every outside space.

I can only suggest plant or pond netting attatched to the metal fence with cable ties.
